Human Performance is the systematic process of setting standards and expectations for leaders and employees, identifying and analysing important human performance gaps, planning for future improvements in human performance, designing and developing cost-effective and ethically sound interventions to close performance gaps, implementing those opportunities, and evaluating the financial and non-financial results. Human Performance tends to look at the organisational defences as well as the behaviours; for example, did the worker really come to work to do a bad job, or did the organisation make it so he had little choice?
People do not come to work to do a bad job….Human error is rarely an active behaviour. Your company has put defences in place to protect the plant/machinery from people inadvertently making a mistakes and vice versa. We can help you to make the most of what you have and provide you with opportunities to add more defences.
